Afra is centrally located in Corfu with easy access to all facilities you could be looking for to entertain the family or help you unwind and relax.

All forms of outdoor activities are well catered for locally; one of the largest water parks in Europe, Aqualand, is just 1 kilometre away. There are also a couple of riding schools within 2 kilometres and for yachting enthusiasts the Gouvia marina is about 5 kilometres to the East. For those who believe golf is not a long good walk spoiled then the only golf course on Corfu is 5 kilometres away, and for those who just want to walk then Afra is marvellously placed to pick up inspiring Corfu walks. The picturesque West coast beaches including Agios Gordios, Ermones and Glyfada are between 5 and 6 kilometres away. Some of the more lively East coast beaches North and South of Corfu town are again less than 8 kilometres.

The local village is a short walk of 500 metres with a small supermarket and a local taverna. Afra is a beautiful example of a Corfiot rural village with some lovely traditional architecture and examples of sympathetically well designed modern villas.

Corfu Town with it's varied history, architecture, shopping and attractions is about 7 kilometres away. Take time to explore all the narrow streets, enjoy the mix of tourist and local shops and make sure you wear comfortable shoes. The many historical attractions include the old and the new fortress, some excellent art galleries and interesting museums. Make time to go to the market outside the new fortress and a trip to Corfu Town cannot be complete without a relaxing drink on the Liston.

For practical issues the airport and sea port are both less than 15 minutes drive, there is a hospital in Corfu Town and there are two large supermarkets about 1 kilometre from the village.
